Good morning, Does the age of the reefer unit matter for a straight truck if it’s maintained properly? I was told by a recruiter at Landstar it can’t be more than 7 years old but then someone’s else there said it just has to pass inspections. Kindov confusing. Thnks!

Ok thanks. What if it’s a solo driver, it should be 40% not 20% right?

Does anyone know how much fleet owners pay there drivers at Landstar? Spoke to a couple owners who said 20% to the driver for a straight truck. This seems very low but maybe it has to do with the rates being higher? I thought 40/60 or 60/40 was the most common split. Thanks for any input, and...

Thank you! No issue at all w expediter services. Just realizing that finding a newer (2018 or newer) straight truck with reefer is not easy and trying to research a little on here about good dealers
