After a long career in animation and app development, I'm thinking about using my newfound luxury of time to pursue a driving career. I love the industry, I love to drive, and I'd love to make money doing something I enjoy.

As I enter this community, I'd like to explore the feasibility of my dream to go OTR. I have yet to secure a CDL, although I do have some professional experience driving smaller vehicles (e.g. step vans, cargo vans, and other work trucks). I've even done some work as a software operator for autonomous cars.

In broad terms, I'd like to get some sense of the industry as it stands right now and into the near future. More specifically, I'd like to find a good driving teammate so I could do some straight truck expediting for the likes of FDCC or some other reliable carrier.
