    Insurance

I ask about insurance from time to time, yet I've never received an answer that has helped yet. Here i go again. My new premium from Progressive for 2026 is $10,038. This is for a commercial policy, they no longer offer NTL/Bobtail in NY. I am currently trying to find out from the carrier I'm...

    Insurance again!

That's an interesting piece of info, thanks for that. I'm going to have to have my agent check into that.

    Insurance again!

I gotta ask again, and i know the number of people coming here has dwindled. However, there are enough that I should be able to get a good idea about insurance. For 8 years I was getting Non Trucking Liability through Progressive. Annual premiums ranged from $2,500 - $3,500. This year...

Rescue Your Revenue Legal Steps in a Claim: Lessening Your Losses : Kelsea Eckert

I appreciate that advice, unfortunately or maybe it's really fortunate but I walked away with nothing wrong. No attorney/law firm is interested in just a property damage/liability claim. I've spoken to half a dozen. Truckers insurance has already provided me with a number for my van, it covers...

Rescue Your Revenue Legal Steps in a Claim: Lessening Your Losses : Kelsea Eckert

I was rear-ended April 28th on I-81in Virginia. Was informed on May 2nd that my van was evaluated as a total loss. 6 weeks before this happened i paid $13,300 out of pocket for a complete fuel system replacement which was recommended by MB because of contaminants. Here's my concern, I've never...

    Non-Trucking Liability

Therein lies the difference. The company I'm driving for does cover the cargo insurance which accounts for about 90 to 95% of my annual mileage. I deliver medical lasers that are inside a crate. Nine out of every 10 empty crates I bring back to their warehouse. So I'm covered for the round trip.

    Non-Trucking Liability

I understand not many are using this forum any longer. Too bad really because years ago there was lots of good advice from this site. So I'll ask this question of the few who are still using this forum... Does anyone have Non-Trucking Liability insurance on their Sprinter van? If yes, who is...

Please advise on my new start.

Be aware of level of expenses. I ran for 30 weeks last year, earnings were $92k. Expenses were $45k...$47k income before self-employment tax. Not horrible but every expense is mine with the excepting of cargo insurance which is covered by the company I'm contracted with. I also have the...

    Just curious...foolish or no?

Yeah, did 3,000 lbs. a couple times to figure out I wasn't happy with the way it felt while driving it with that weight.

    Just curious...foolish or no?

Nice, I did let it go though. Up until 488k miles nothing that was too much. That was when breakdown in Nashville happened, followed closely by Beaumont, TX and Jacksonville, FL. Since March of 22 though nothing serious other than dealership recommendations. Picked up new 23 Mercedes yesterday...

    Just curious...foolish or no?

I can't be the only one. Assuming some of the lifers have had a Sprinter that lasted this long... but at what point were most problems incurred and at what cost?

    Diesel vs. Gas

Just wondering about opinions on diesel vs. gas for Sprinter vans. Im running a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4 cylinder diesel and love it. Im asking because I noticed the other day while browsing on Mercedes site that they were going to be offering a gas 4 cylinder. They were not allowing a...

    New to the game

How many miles annually do you envision driving a leased van? That seems like a bad direction to go in IMO. My first 4 years in with my Mercedes Sprinter has been good for 370,000 miles and it's a struggle to make ends meet. Great vehicle and hoping my dealer can continue keeping the van running...

    nubtime question wall

You may want to talk with local transport company(s) first before doing anything else. See whether thay have any independent contractors on board. Before I purchased van I had Q&A session with a local company and before we were done I was literally receiving an invite to run for them. They...
