Husband & wife team been off a couple months looking for a newer (can be 3 years old or so) DR unit.
We were on a 60/40 split before with us taking care of the fuel but could go the 40/60 also.
Just looking for a honest owner that takes care of their trucks.
It varies so much hard to narrow that down. I know when you're TVAL you should be using the refer a lot more.
Then you have to do the maintenance evey 6 months to stay compliant.
Have a couple friends that run solo in Fed Ex. One runs in a dry box seems to be doing decent. The other has a DR unit he does pretty staying in the NE and over into OH PA IN and IL areas. Look at the loads figure in your tolls fuel costs how likely you are to get a predispatch and play it smart...
Yeah the bonuses for a team coming into your truck offered by owners is usualy for these reasons.
!. The company has really slow freight ie low pay to the drivers.
2. They try and entice drivers to drive older trucks which break down alot ie no money while your sitting.
Smart savy drivers know...
Sorry to hear you injured yourself. Those liftgates can be rough one we have now isn't bad compared to other trucks I've had. I still won't let my wife pull it out hate to have her pull something or have it come down on her leg.
Hope the retired life suits you and your surgery and rehab goes...
Talked to owners who several times have seen FedEx not paying out at the agreed %. When questioned about it they tend to cite prior shipment or airfreight or some such goobleygook.
DON'T LOOK BEHIND THAT CURTAIN as the wizard says. I'm wondering why owners aren't screaming about not getting...
Layout what size truck are you running? Do you ever call them up and discuss the load with the dispatchers or put in a price you would be willing to run it at?
So we will keep going like we have been. Still making decent pay out here though FedEx seems to be trying to make it harder and harder to do.
It's kind of like the load acceptance rate having an effect on your place in line. There was nothing to do about it but keep going and running your...
I know that CC is just a small cog in the mighty FedEx jugaurnat, but needs saving? I don't think so. You have a whole fleet of trucks that are paid for and maintaned privately.
It's a money making machine. Maybe the heads of it should be cut that would save a bunch not sure what their pay is...
Try sitting in El Paso and getting loads picking up in California 800+ mile deadheads 1167 total miles for 978.02 oh yeah and let's run that refer too. The funny thing is when you ask for decent pay and get it you probally would of took the load for a bit less had they sent it to you at a decent...
Just look at the flat rate trucks for a minute. Fed EX is paying them 1.00 per mile the drivers paying fuel and getting 60%. This leaves the owner 40% of a buck .40 cents to run that truck 1 mile. These trucks are old models getting almost no maintanance except the bare minium.
In other words...
Havn't had a problem using the truck scanner as of yet. Though I don't like the way it takes so long to get a conformation back.
The way I used to do my paperwork was I had a scanner /printer hooked to my laptop. I would scan my paperwork right into Trippak get a confirmation number right then...
Some things happening that make you just say Huh???. Be great if everyone was getting on the same page and working together.
I'm amazed that a fortune 400 company like Fed Ex has such easily fixed problems. From booking loads and not asking the right questions to just doing very simple check...
But I thought bread was one of the major food groups..... How can you have a monster burger without the bun.... Now your just being silly.
But seriously congrats on your exercising and diet hope you do well on it. Hope I don't have to carry it that far will give up the cigs and see how that...
