I got lucky I guess, I figured since this hard plastic line went from the frame mounted filter over the the lift pump on the engine it was the most likely to be damaged by vibration and just the constant moving around from the torque of the engine, couldn't really see any cracks but it had to...

Just an update, replaced the original hard plastic fuel line from the frame mounted filter to the lift pump with rubber fuel line, 30 degrees this morn, eng. fired up and runs fine now, looking good so far, thanks for all the help, Dave

No air heater on this eng. not set up for it either, I put heat lamps under the fuel tank last night and with the temp around 30 this morn did ok, im stumped .

My 06 4300 would do that when the Freon got low, but after a while the computer would turn on the check ac light in the dash and shut off the power to the compressor, wonder if the compressor is cycling ?

That's what I kinda figure also, in the 3.73 range would put me way down in the rpm range best I can figure, a search on the net does show most used diffs are in that ratio range though.

My eng. is the 210hp version not sure on the torque, I don't have a box to worry about, cab is the highest point ever on me, down here in the coastal region I don't have a lot of hills just now and then maybe a hill or two mostly flat hwy and winding backroads and mostly 50 to 100 mile quick...

plenty to choose from for sure! I thought about a tranny swap also, im not crazy about the auto, but I think that would be a pain finding the rite combo to fit behind the 5.9 with such a steep gear in the rear, lot more expensive also I figure.

Thanks for the great info ! the engine feels and sounds best at around 1800rpm to me, I know that steep gear makes it really peppy, i'll take it down the road asap and notice where my upshifts and downshifts are.

yes, my tach says around 2450 at 66mph and that's flat hwy floored, I am running 11r 22.5 with a 210 rated 5.9 inline p series ip mostly level hwy miles.
