depends on the state and the scales, some states have anything over
4 tons others have any vch for hire has to cross.
in va some scales have all commical vch have to cross
most of the time 1 ton vans don't have to cross
but to be safe and stop or cross the scales as you don't want them
to come out and give you a big ticket for not crossing
