Transmission computer not connecting

My HINO 268 Transmission computer does not want to connect to the mechanic computer, any idea what that could be... please... mechanic says it can be damage truck computer.....

Note: I got an engine warning because of that.

To connect to the engine ECU, VCS, BCU or DCU, you'd connect your scan tool to the 16 pin diagnostic connector. To connect to the TCM or ABS, you'd connect to the 9 pin connector.

If it still won't connect, your mechanic should check the TCM connector for battery power, ignition power, grounds and CAN.
