Thermo King TriPac

Our Tri Pac emits heavy white vapor from the exhaust pipe.
Am I correct in assuming this means I have a faulty glow plug?
If so, anybody know how to change it?
Thanks

so it's not the tri pac, it's the espar heater. you may try cleaning the glow plug or run some K-1 to clean it out. The nice thing about the espar you can fix it still in the truck.

Im not fluent in APU I would check the coolant may be a head gasket if water cooled or a lazy injector.

I have the same system in my truck. When the heater first fires up, it does give off some white smoke, but it clears up after unit gets hot. I guess if it gives off smoke constantly, then that could need some attention.

We had the same problem when I drove for ES. They sent me to thermo king in St. Louis where they ripped it apart and cleaned the screen inside it. It quit smoking after that.

When it was smoking it was a strong fuel smell.

Thanks guys. I saw the filter (screen) in the repair manual online.
We will be stopping at a TK first op, for parts/tools.
Thanks again.

Thanks all.
Turned out it was an internal gasket that was allowing too much air in, not allowing fuel to ignite.
