Judge Cannon Says May, 2024 Trial Date to Remain in Place

In a paperless order issued today, Judge Cannon said the May, 2024 trial date will remain as is (documents trial). She previously set that date and is sticking with it. This is a blow to Trump who wanted the judge to schedule the trial after the 2024 election. She denied Trump's request the first time and reaffirmed the date today.

so sitting up here in Canada watching the circus... whats the worst thats going to happen to Trump when /if convicted... a cushy cabin in Club Fed with weekend passes... then the next president pardons him anyhow...???

"So why isn’t MAGA, Inc. funding everyone’s defense?"

Trump co-defendant Jenna Ellis is asking this good question. No answer yet received from MAGA or the Trump PAC or legal defense fund.

It won’t matter if they get an interlocutory appeal order from the Supreme Court. Then all the trial dates will be moot.
As it should be. Let the people decide the next election. What is the Left so afraid of?

Georgia Terms of Release for Criminal Defendant Trump

Trump will be out on bail after posting a $200,000 bond and ...

"The order was signed off on by Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee. The order, which was signed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Trump's attorneys, says that Trump 'shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him or her to be a codefendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice.'

"It also says the 'Defendant shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature against the community or to any property in the community; The above shall include, but are not limited to, posts on social media or reposts of posts made by another individual on social media.'" (Source)

With this language, Georgia officials clearly have their eye on Trump's attempts to undermine the Court, the prosecutors, and witnesses. Let's see how long it takes for Trump to violate the terms of his release and for the state to seize his $200,000.

Trump likes to pretend he is in charge but he is not a free man. He is a criminal defendant subject to the rules of the Court.

Who/what is MAGA, Inc? The Trump PAC probably can't legally fund everyone’s defense.

None of the Left “scholars” want to debate Dershowitz on the 14th Amendment scheme they’re trying to implement to prevent Trump from being on the ballot. He called out Tribe. No takers yet. Maybe soon.

That would be an interesting debate, but inconsequential. The 14th Amendment eligibility question will become consequential when an election official denies Trump's application for ballot access on 14th Amendment grounds. Trump will sue to gain ballot access and the question will then become live in the courts. That's where the real debate will occur. This important question will ultimately be decided by the US Supreme court.

That's not necessarily good news for Trump. The currently seated justices have ruled against Trump multiple times in cases he previously brought to them. Also, the constitutional scholars who are making news with their 14th Amendment argument are making an originalist argument. Some justices on the Supreme Court are fond of originalist thinking.

I know Trump is making a sarcastic joke in post he recently made, and it should be taken as such.

At the same time, it shows the notion of him fleeing to Russia and living under Putin's protection is in Trump's mind. Willis is not talking about Trump fleeing to Russia. Trump is. The notion resides in his mind.

Anyone who reads this statement and understands the concepts of sarcasm and ridicule should understand it as such.

Trump is the most UNLIKELY flight risk in the country.

They’re dumb enough to believe it. Remember when Trump was campaigning and he joked “Russia If You’re Listening…”( about Hillary’s emails )
That was used in the Mueller Report.

The 14th Amendment scheme that the Left wants to use doesn’t even apply to Presidents.
