Not to worry. The next Clinton will be elected and she can handle things as well as her husband did. A few more dead citizens are of no loss the them.

It would be funny if the local farmers there would suddenly be a habitat for endangered animals that eat turtles. The environmentalists would have a field day. It would be funny.

Odrama isn't behind this but Harry Reid and his son certainly are ..... Think china!
You win the prize!!
When Cliven Bundy’s neighbors turned out to support him, as good American neighbors should, the BLM sent in helicopters, four-wheel-drive vehicles and an estimated 200 armed officers to deal with the cowboy and his family, threatening another Ruby Ridge or Waco-style slaughter.
But I don’t think it was about tortoises. No, sir. In fact, with all the gear and manpower the BLM brought to Clark County to round up the cowboy and his cattle, they did more environmental damage to the area than Cliven Bundy ever could have dreamed of doing.
This was about something else.
It’s always about something else.
Maybe – just maybe – it had to do with another Nevadan by the name of Harry Reid.
It seems the Senate majority leader has been doing favors for a Chinese energy giant ENN, which has plans to build massive solar facilities in that area – tortoises or no tortoises.
It seems the director of BLM is Reid’s former senior adviser, Neil Kornze. BLM had posted on its website documents stating the agency wanted Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations. The agency removed it when the standoff became national news.
“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle,” the document states.
That would be the Chinese solar plant – the Management, or BLM...

Read more at Harry Reid?s last roundup
And also...
An investigative report published last week by Infowars.com drew a connection between Senate Majority Leader Reid’s involvement with Chinese energy giant ENN, Chinese efforts to build massive solar facilities in the Nevada desert and the showdown between Bundy and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, or BLM.
It wasn’t the first report to notice curious dealings involving the Chinese and America’s top Democrats.
On Jan. 20, 2013, WND warned Chinese government-backed economists were proposing a plan to allow Chinese corporations to set up “development zones” in the United States as part of a plan proposed by the Chinese government to convert into equity the more than $1 trillion in U.S. Treasury debt owned by the Chinese government.
The next day, Jan. 21, 2013, WND documented the Obama administration had begun to allow China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the USA...

Read more at Reid smelling anything but rosy in ranch fight
And last but not least - it appears somebody picked up the phone and put a stop to this nonsense.

Feds retreat from Nevada ranch standoff

The environment only needs protected from things that the Demoncrats don't like. It's OK for them to ruin things, they do it with only love in mind, never money.

Infowars isn't exactly the crack investigative organization they claim to be. Turns out Reid's (son's) involvement deals with land that doesn't involve the Bundy's at all, neither the previously leased land nor the land that Bundy's cattle was also grazing on. Just because the Chinese solar power thing and the Bundy thing are both in Nevada doesn't mean they are related, especially since the Bundy thing has been going on for twenty years and the China thing has not.

You obviously understand what's going on with this situation, while others seem to focus only on the fact that Bundy lost his court decisions (in which he represented himself, according to some news reports). This seems to justify sending in heavily armed federal forces and SWAT teams to move some cattle. IBD has an excellent article that makes things a lot clearer:
...But the far larger issue, most intense in the West, involves a mounting distrust and suspicion of all things federal -- Congress, the bureaucracy and especially an aloof president. His perceived interests are inserting an over-reaching government into the lives of every American for their own good from closing coal mines and rewriting restaurant menus to seizing private property and regulating cow farts...

BLM saw no contradiction sending in dozens of armed federal agents to confront a 67-year-old man behind in his rent while the president of the United States and the nation's chief law enforcement officer traveled to New York to dine with and speak on behalf of the notorious Al Sharpton, who's been more than $1 million behind in his income taxes...

Now, here comes the political part that will seem quite familiar to Chicagoans:
A Chinese company has wanted to build an immense solar-panel farm in Nevada under the name ENN Mojave Energy. It would need additional tortoise habitat to mitigate its complex.
The local lobbyist who's represented the Chinese-backed firm is a failed Democrat politician named Rory Reid, who got his gully washed in the 2010 race for governor by Republican Brian Sandoval.
Oh, look! Reid also happens to be the son of Harry Reid, the dottering Democrat Senate majority leader for a few more months, who's somehow managed to become a millionaire on congressional pay.
Now, perhaps you understand why Bundy Ranch supporters smell a cattle-thieving, land-grabbing Washington political conspiracy where, clearly, none exists.
Oh, one other thing. Last week the Senate confirmed a brand-new director of BLM. He's Neil Kornze, at 35 an unusually inexperienced youngster to be running such a powerful agency with sprawling powers.
However, Nevada native Kornze had something special going for him in the Senate and Obama White House drive to get him the job. He was a senior policy aide to -- Wait for it! -- Harry Reid, whose son represented the Chinese solar farm.

By the way - I hope everyone reading this paid their fair share of taxes today, especially your property taxes. Get behind on those and you'll find out that land and house (private property?) doesn't belong to you after all when the men with guns come to take it. But if you're somebody like Al Sharpton or Tim Geithner? No problem.

....."distrust of all things federal"...

May be most intense in the west.....but is found easily anywhere in the country...

I would not be at all surprised to discover a Solar installation or some other corporate goal was the real reason behind the escalation...

It actually applies to the state based aid of Medicaid. As they push people into these plans, they will have to pay back those medical expenses. Usually through seizing whatever assets that person has.
In three years when states have to pick up the bulk of these costs, that is when you will see states take an aggressive approach to collections. Actually, they likely will have little choice because they will struggle to fund any of it without some huge tax increase. People think Obamacare is "free"...but they are in for a rude awakening.

When things become free they tend to REALLY become expensive. The fools have bought into the lies.
