I have 2 $30 sero plans w/mogal phones for me and dispatcher (wife)
unlimited internet (w/pdanet) and 500 min phone plan

Mogul comes w/ usb to hook up to laptop
I use laptop for load-boards and email/fax access

Mogul unteathered from laptop works well for email (Gmail), load-boards not so well
(screen on mogul is just too small)

As a phone mogul is so-so, I'm shopping for a bluetooth headset (suggestions?)
hoping that improves voice communication

I like it a lot, but incoming calls kick me off the internet.
Anyone know if internet and voice can be run same time?

Does well with maxemail for in-truck faxing

I like free podcasts and internet radio instead of XM radio, (pause rewind, etc)

working on how to use Yahoo maps w/GPS (Anyone doing that?)

I usually get 400kb down and 100 kb up, about 10X faster than dial-up
Not smokin' fast but not too bad.

Biggies are it is a plan that is 500 anytime minutes, unlimited night/weekend, unlimited text, unlimited mobile to mobile Sprint, unlimited web for $30 a month. They also have the aircard for $50 a month. There are other perks too but I don't remember them all. I think it's sprint.com/sero to check it out. The only problem is getting it when you already have an account with them. That's the challenge I'll be facing tomorrow.

I had two Nextel phones under contract
I opened 2 SERO accounts under wife's SSN
Sprint would not open Sero under my SSN because It showed me as an
existing customer.
then I transfered SERO accounts to my old Nextel accounts, keeping my old (Nextel) phone numbers

The HTV Mogul gives you data card access for $30/month
using PDANET (and can be used as phone as well)

the fatwallet thread has many other money saving tips
(-$100 of mogul etc)

I gambled and activated my new phone today. It activated as a SERO phone on the correct $30 plan so my worry was over misinformation. I saw one thread, I think on fatwallet, that was almost 500 pages of messages. I read a few dozen and gave up. My son in law is a degreed computer genius so I just annoy him for info. :+ I walked to the Sprint store today and they transferred my entire phone book to the new phone so I don't have to re-enter all that. I'll cancel the old number tomorrow probably. The only thing I don't like about the Motorola Q is there's no touchscreen so you have to use the microscopic keyboard. I just wish they had better coverage around the country. If they did, I'd probably drop my other and switch to their $50 1250 minute plan and not have a second phone.
