You can also buy light weight hardened chain instead of Big chain...standard bolt cutters may not be able to cut through it.

A really big chain laying there next to 2 large dog dishes can be a deterrent, as well.

I was just thinking about that. If you don't have a dog, at least get a cd with the sound of a large dog growling and play it on a loop.... that should help.
