out of state tags

If I am purchasing a used straight truck out of state(mich) and living in sc, can I register & get tags in mich to run commercial?, or do I have to register in my state?

you will have to register it in your state.You should be able to get an intransit tag to get it home

Or you could lease a plate from your chosen carrier if they have a plate program. If they are located in MI, then you can get a MI plate.
