Only in NYC

Hope this picture is large enough to see the sign. We have never seen a "No Honking" sign before...only in NYC!!!

India, I saw that sign - and it reminded me of the "Quiet - Hospital Zone" signs you almost never see anymore.

While I've never seen the Quiet-Hospital Zone signs in the states, when I was in Monterrey, Mexico I did see them there.

Many years ago when I lived In NJ my ex wife and I were in Manhatten with some friends. I had parked the car a few blocks from the restaurant where we ate. After we finished I went and got the car,came back on (I think) 37th street. They were standing outside. I beeped the horn to get their attention and I wound up getting a ticket for "Blowing your horn with no danger involved".

I said to the cop, "man oh man these taxis zoom up and down these streets way above the speed limit and you have time to write me this summons". He just laughed and said"Have a nice night".
