Load One Wreaths Across America 2012

This year we are again proud to support the Wreaths Across America charity. Load One is sending two company tractors this year. Two of our company drivers departed our HQ yesterday enroute to load up their wreaths in Maine. Ken Johnson will be hauling our "Patriot" trailer on its inaugural run and will be delivering to the military cemeteries in Alabama. Larry Carty is hauling our charity logo'd trailer and will be hauling his load of wreaths to the military cemeteries in Louisiana. We are extremely proud of this charity and our great drivers for helping to make this possible. We will post updated pics along the way both here and on Facebook and twitter to chronicle this years journey.

The Alabama patriot riders motorcycle group has announced they are going to meet our one truck at the state line and escort us into final delivery.

Also pleased to announce that we got last minute request for a straight truck. Maniac and the Mrs. will be heading to Maine and loading as part of the week long convoy to Arlington National Cemetery. They will be breaking off and delivering a special load of 200 wreaths to be placed on recently fallen soldiers. They want to have these in place before the other 8 semi trucks arrive. This is truly a great honor for everyone. Special thanks to Vince Santana that manages this program on behalf of the company.

Paula is part of a group like that, only in Jersey. It'd be cool to be escorted by them as well, if the routing takes the trucks that way.

John this is a beautiful thing to do and I take my hat off to you and the load 1 family for this....now knowing i am in this great country and a ex veteran and like others saw others fall is there anyway even take it out of my settlement a wreath could be placed for the aussie diggers that fell in pass conflicts.....if this is not right please forgive me ...in no way would i like this to be seen as anything but remembering my fallen brothers ..so if this is not wrong take out money from my settlement ....and once again John like i already said this is fantastic and your a heck of a man to know and and i would stand beside you any day in any conflict ,,,,,,,,,, LEST WE. FORGET ps ...i really hope this was not wrong in asking as i would never want it to be seen as that just my way of remembering

I am guessing they do something similar in Australia for their fallen vets on the holidays?

Thank you to Dysart's Trucking out of Hermon Twp Maine for washing our two Wreath's Across America trucks in appreciation of our efforts and in support of the charity!

Maniac and Synthia head out to Maine to pick up their load of wreaths. They will be part of the convoy to Arlington. They will break off and deliver in advance for a special ceremony for 200 of the most recent fallen soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Well our two tractor trailers have reached Knoxville and will deliver into Alabama and Louisiana tomorrow. The convoy to Arlington National Cemetery left Maine today and is enroute.

First stop for our two semis is Jefferson Memorial South Cemetery in Hoover Al. Convoy should roll in around noon. They will depart the Pilot in Rising Fawn Ga around 10 am and convoy here with escorts from police and Patriot Riders. Then they head to Montevallo Al and the Fort McClellan Al. Then the second tractor proceeds to Louisiana. If anyone is interested just post up or shoot a pm. Breakfast on me if anyone is close bye.

John, Load 1 family and drivers, thank you for your participation. It is a most deserving cause.

Ok, eta has been moved up to 1015 am in Hoover due to some funeral conflicts at the cemetery.
