Hi all, wondering if you all can help me with something. I'm soon to start driving for a small carrier. They have straight trucks, but have modified them into sleepers.
The way they did it was by cutting out the wall behind the seats, and also through the wall that leads inside of the box.
They built a new wall further back, leaving enough space behind the seats to place a small mattress to sleep on.
They sealed everything up between the cab and box so little to no air can get inside.
Just wanted to know if this is legal or not? If DOT saw this, would I be in trouble or taken out of service?
