Update: the sprinter rear I built with parts from India went a year before it started whining. Perfect. Lovely. One of the guys changed the gear oil in it, didn't report any chunks falling out, so that's good. We're gonna wait and see what happens. It belongs to the owner's brother, so it's got an infinite warranty. But that doesn't mean we have to jump on it immediately.
