I've been at home for several weeks with a rather nasty bout with
pneumonia: 6 days in the hospital, over $10,000 in medical bills, &
off the road for 5 weeks, so far. So, before venturing back out on
the road, I thought I would ask "How's it been going?" Especially
for "D" units. Thanks for your feedback.

Things have been up and down for me since the first of the year, overall it's probably down 25% from last year at this time. I have a "B" unit and i'm averaging about $700-800 gross. At the end of
year I grossed $50500 and took off about 6 weeks vacation time.

Freightchaser, you don't have that new found Asian pneumonia, do you? For those of you that havent heard of it, it is a deadly pneumonia that is sweeping through Canada, and some cases have also been found in the U.S. All you have to do is come in close contact with someone who has it. So be very careful going into Canada. Don't go around hugging all the Chrysler dock workers...lol.

No, it isn't that nasty type that is killing people. Mine is a bacterial form called Streptococcal Pneumonia. I had a vaccination
last October that was supposed to prevent this strain of the bacteria, but my doctor says I was one of the 4% that it doesn't
protect! Just the luck of an expediter, right?

I run a d unit out of northern Ky. Freight seems to be moving pretty well here. I ran nearly 3800 miles last 7 days.
