Expedite Expo

who plans to go to the expo this year? I am currently not driving but want to get back into driving and was thinking about visiting and was wondering your opinions on it? Worth the trip to get info? Are there alot of expediters there that might be willing to get a coffee and chat about the industry? Or should I save my gas money and just keep watching the forums?

Go. Definitely go. Take enough info to fill out an app. Dates, addresses.
You may not fill out an app, but that info should be easily accessible, IMHO.

Why leave home without it ?

Yes, like Zorry said.

Many of the companies use the same online application platform. Run through some of the online applications that you can link to from this site. Even if you don't submit the application, you can seen what information to have on you when you go to the expo and talk to the companies.

If one is looking into this business it IS the place to go. MOST expediters can be "bribed" into talking with coffee!!

Absolutely worth the trip! It's the only Expo for expediters - MATS, GATS, etc, are big truck shows, but the Expo is all about what we do, how we do it, what we need to get it done, and who we need to know to get busy doing it.
Oh - and there's food, too. And the Casino night, and a free concert, and antique trucks, and lots of informative seminars. And prizes! What's not to like? [Did I mention it's free?!]
