So my question is when trying to use earned income credit is your salary based off your gross or net any help would be appreciated
let either your tax software or your tax preparer answer this question
This is a question that is very difficult to answer due to the fact that it is based upon your income,
and only the software can qualify you for the Earned Income Credit, it is based upon what your answers are to the compliance questions, if you are doing your own taxes, thenrely upon the software, don't just enter in a figure from the chart, it will be close, but not exact, oryou might not get any if you do your own tax returns.
