..The Delta Honor Guard was created about 10 years ago, based in the ATL hub, and greets every fallen hero that arrives in ATL. They now have Honor Guards in several other Delta locations, but I'm not sure if they have an Honor Guard at every airport. The Delta pilots also announce it over the intercom system to the passengers when there is a fallen hero on board. They will ask everyone to remain seated while the military escort on board the plane (and family members of the fallen) exit the plane first.
