Can anyone tell me what they find different between driving a class 8 truck as oppossed to a class 7 truck ? and also what the real difference is in terms of hauling loads in either class...much appreciated.

class 7 trucks most company will let you keep them on about 7 years
where a class 8 will beable to keep ten years
plus a class 7 to me is a city truck and not made for running
long distance day in and day out, plus on a class 8 everything is
heavy duty and usually a better ride as in smooth
myself i have had a , 1st truck 1800 ud carried 5000 lbs as a c unit
fl60 with 16'ft box and now a western star with a 16' box
each truck was better than one before, but nothing compares to
a star, if it's not a star isn't a truck
give bill moore a call at 800 388 3850 and put a proheat on it
to make it a better truck

I have been told the opposite on how long a truck can stay on.A class 7 can stay on for 5yrs at most company's and a class 8 can go for 8yrs.Now i do agree with you on the Western star issue.I drove a Fl70 before and now i own a Western Star with a nice sleeper fully equiped and a 22ft box.I got a good deal on my used.So just look around and be patient.DONT BUY THE FIRST THING YOU SEE!!!!

I think he just changed his user name:7 Which would you rather have, a double frame, or double cosmetic air cleaners and exhaust stacks?
