I once delivered to Sylvan Lake Lodge, which is about 2 miles from that Needles Eye Tunnel (on Needles Highway, Hwy 87 in South Dakota near Rapid City). They have a picture of the Needles Eye Tunnel in the lodge and I asked about it. When you leave the lodge and then turn left to stay on Hwy 87, you enter a toll booth because they charge you to enter the Custer State Park. It was $5 I think. The tunnel is about a mile after that. There's another similar tunnel on that highway somewhere, but I didn't drive to it. Didn't want anything to do with it. Too curvy. They just flat close that road all winter.

That reminds me of a couple of roads I've been on. There is a s curve on SR32 in PA, between Alentown and Morrisville that a S/T BARELY makes.
