Any AGM will work great.

Something to keep in mind, though. Unless you have an AGM cranking battery, you will be charging two different batteries, which require different charging voltages, off the same alternator. The cranking battery requires, and will get from the alternator, roughly 13.4 to 14.0 volts to charge, while the AGM requires 14.4 to 14.8 volts to charge. The AGM batteries will always be chronically undercharged.

One way to deal with that is to get an AGM cranking battery. That way all of the batteries will get the same, proper charging voltage. That's certainly the easiest fix. Autozone will probably have to order it in from another store, but they have a an exact fit AGM for most batteries.

Another way to deal with it is to get a Sterling Power alternator to battery charger. It is designed specifically for charging different types of batteries off the same alternator, and it works extremely well. It is the absolute ideal scenario. It's also $450 plus $130 for the controller kit.

In lieu of the two better solutions above, an acceptable alternative is to, as often as possible, but every 4-6 weeks for sure, connect your AGM battery to a smart three-stage AGM battery charger capable of giving it the 14.4 to 14.8 volts it needs to become fully charged.

Also, don't buy some crappy all purpose AGM battery charger at Walmart or Autozone. Never skimp on tires, batteries, or battery chargers. Get a good one. 3, 4, 5 times what you think one should cost. You get exactly what you pay for in a battery charger. NAPA has a decent one on the cheap, so does West Marine.

I hope you're not out there running loads, you should be running a custom van accessory upgrade shop for expeditors and the adventure seeking crowd. :) I'll look into the ones at Napa and West Marine.

Which battery here would be best suited for running the espar, I think I'm going to hold off on putting a power inverter in there. The driver only cares about ac and heat...a good stereo and good tires in winter.
