Granholm sucks, all you have to do is look at Michigan to see just how far out in left field she is. Too bad you don't have to be a Native Born U.S. Citizen to sit on the Supreme Court. OH, WAIT, I get it, he would do this to help when HIS shady citizenship status is finally tested!! Birds of a feather!!

In reality he has few thing on his list that makes a good nominee. They have to be warm, breathing, agree with killing babies and shredding our Constitution. They don't need ANY other qualifications.

For a person who has zero litigation experience and zero credibility, it seems that the senate may reject her.

What you all should worry about it not who is on the bench but why the republicans are eager to help ratify a nuke treaty.

They are willing to ratify this nuke treaty because the ReBumLiCans are no different than the Dumb-O-Crats. They just hide their left wing BS better.

We MAY swing back to the "RIGHT:rolleyes:" a little in the next election. Then many will breath a sigh of relief and sit back and enjoy having it stuck to them for a few more years.

The bench is just as important. Our Constitution is in mortal danger. It must be defended and the Court is our last, however weak chance, of keeping it alive. When the Court is allowed to finish it off, well, that is when the stuff will hit the fan. I think the left misjudged one thing, they went for the kill shot about 20-30 years too soon. There are still too many people out there who can think for themselves. 30 more years of left wing public education and we will be on par with the Soviets, no independent thought. Just drones.

We have BEEN in trouble since the last election and will remain in trouble until and beyond the next two elections. We are in trouble to the point we may NEVER recover from this mess.

But the balance of the court will not change regardless. Unless a conservative/constructionist judge steps down in the next 3 years, then there is really nothing to worry about.

By the way Leo, I have come to the conclusion that Bush and a lot of his stuff is about the same as Obama. There are some differences but on the domestic front, the more important front, there isn't much difference when you remove major issues - health care and 9/11. All of what we see now is a result of Bush's administraion and a republican ineptness.

We could straighten things out starting this election but there are just too many drones out there who think that they are owed everything and that only government can save them from their own ineptness. Far too many that believe that man is unable to care for his own needs without the help of a kind and loving government. Weak minds, weak spirits. How sad to be that unsure of your own abilities and talents that you would allow yourself to be ruled and controlled.

The GOP and Bush administration certainly deserve a significant share of the blame for some of our current woes, but don't leave out the Democrat-controlled Congress that was in place the latter part of the Bush years. They played a significant role in the financial mess in which we find ourselves right now. I would also disagree somewhat about Bush's similarities with Obama. He was in no way the radical liberal that Obama is. He was however, a mushy moderate that refused to use the veto pen in many cases that needed it. That said, I believe we're far enough into the Obama presidency that blaming Bush for all our ill fortune simply isn't valid. Remember when anything bad happened when Bush was president, we heard that it "happened on his watch" and the implication was that it was his fault. Funny how we don't hear that phrase from the media any more - and when something bad does happen on Obama's watch, it's still Bush's fault.

Don't expect to hear too much from the media about Obama's multiple miscues, you won't unless he does something that is not far left enough or even pretends to slide a tad towards the center.

We've been in trouble a lot longer than that. When's the last time the GOP nominated someone who wasn't a RINO? Only a nickel's worth of difference between 'em.
