anyone know about those tuning chips

i have an 06 duramax i run, and want to boost my mileage a little, i heard those chips like bully dog and others that you plug into that connector will do that, does anyone have any experience with them. and is that all you have to do is just plug them in?

Most are tuned for hp. You'd have to look around for an eco tune. Check the duramax boards.

I have an edge chip card installed in my cummins 5.9 24v dodge pickup
It rocks it has a 2 stage boost 40 and 60 hp wow is it ever awesome with my 6 speed trannie I get over 27 mpg and it'll throw ya into the back seat when ya step on it it was worth every cent
