10,000 steps. You have probably heard the we all need to walk 10,000 steps a day. While there is no " official" study that proclaims this amount, more steps per day can be beneficial to your health.
But as a truck driver, walking is not always convenient.
Here are a few ways to get in some of those steps per day.

1. Park in the back of the parking lot at truck stops, even for just a restroom break.

2. Use the fuel pump furthest from the building, some of those can be a good ways off.

3.Pre trip, mid trip and post trip inspections are not only good for the truck but give you a few more steps per day walking around the vehicle.

4. When shopping, let everyone else fight over the front parking spaces, park as far from the building as possible.

There are many other ways to get in those steps per day, be creative, be healthy. Little changes can make a big difference. Even if you don't get in 10,000 steps a day, every additional step you take will be in the right direction.
