    A Sprinter again is classified differently by different carriers..personally, id tell you to quit trying to figure it out..Find a carrier you think you want to lease to, then work within their system to decide what unit works best for you..But in general, a Sprinter is classified within the CV...

    What size Penske cube are you looking at?? The older units are 10,000 gvw and are considered a "B".. The new units are 12,300 gvw, and are considered a "C" by some carriers..But then there are carriers that consider them a "Super B" and yet other carriers call them, a "small straight".. And...

    Just a quick note on this thread... the 1st driver we put in the van didn't work out. After putting another driver in it ( a EO member), he now owns the van... He worked hard and per the contract at the end of the agreed time, I turned the title over to him...He went from driver to owner...

    I can think of 1 carrier that will not even allow you to put a "OOIDA" sticker on a truck leased to them...The chances of any of the mid to large carriers allowing you to sell "AD" space will be slim to none...and the fact is, the any money generated would go to the owner of the truck, not you...

    I have a friend that drives a COMPANY cube van for them..she does good and i happy there...I might be wrong, but my guess is the AC and Generator went into a COMPANY VAN....

    I am not positive because running under my own authority does not interest me at all, but i am pretty sure i have seen it said that you can not get a DOT # for a truck under 10,001 lb gvw...i am pretty sure ive seen that stated by people that would know...Blizzard????

    Sitting 24 hrs and having someone move in ahead of you is normal in the business and the more vans a company has, the better the chance of it happening..and you will also be the benefit of that same system every once in a while also....and they might not call it 1st outs, but you can believe it...

    until you are going to buy a truck, go to your closest truck stop or home depot and buy 4 20ft or longer ratchet straps with "hook" on the end of them...hire a rollback (wrecker company) and load them 4 deep and stack then and strap them down..or rent a 20ft stake truck and do it yourself with...
