KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — IdleAire Technologies Corp., which provides services to long-haul truckers at truck stops, has filed for bankruptcy.

The Knoxville-based company filed Chapter 11 documents Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, where it was incorporated.

The bankruptcy filing estimates the company has between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors, assets between $100 million and $500 million and liabilities between $100 million and $500 million.

In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing earlier this year, company officials said they expected a net loss of approximately $93 million in 2007 on revenues of approximately $37 million.

IdleAire provides in-cab heat, air, Internet and satellite TV to drivers at truck stops through a console that fits in the driver’s window.
