There's an old saying if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Mabe some professionals in this forum can answer my questions. I'm kind of stubborn, so I plan on buying a van unit. (Even if veterans advise me not to.....)
~What is a maximum payment I should have for a cargo van (and afford it) with this industry.
~The minimum salary I should expect (so I wont get my hopes to high)
~For those of you who are paid cpm, what is the maximum loads I should turn down and not go broke
~What is the typical insurance payments? (OIDA and TIA will NOT insure a newbie)

Thanks in advance!

Well I run with a D unit but I get to many Van loads. They pay around .85 for most companies. I would take all loads that pay that rate. Usually I only turn not loads that do not pay me $1 a mile because I get about $1.25. With F EX CC they do not pay by the mile but you can figure it out easily anough. Your gas and tolls would be much much cheaper. On Van prices I have no idea, but get a good running one so you can stay out on the road and not in the shop.
