The other reason for not idling could be... Idling the newer Diesels leads to engine problems in short order. EGR's, DPF's, and other parts of the newer gen. diesels don't handle the idling with out gumming up stuff. And it's become too expensive to burn the fuel. I too have heard of folks...

Hello all, America now goes to war based on resources...Nothing else matters. It is resources! Water, Oil, Gas, Minerals, etc. Not saying I like it at all, but I understand the real reasons :(
