    Delayed Payment?

I would like to know more, when the carrier/broker you speak of placed a load with you what was your agreement for payment from them? It is not unusual for payment on a load brokered to a carrier to be 30 to 45 days before payment is received for the load.

    Looking for a Broker

“Maybe a little ignorant” whatever words you choose; uninformed, uneducated, unfamiliar or maybe unapprised, whatever word you like it seems unlikely you can help greg336. I can. Should I?

    Looking for a Broker

So you’re saying first impressions don’t count. That if I had researched everything previously posted by greg334 I would then, and only then understand he crapped out, that it is OK to have some good laughs at him due to his failure to have NOT chosen wisely and followed the path as set forth by...

What has you ripping your hair out sometimes in this business?

Your shell has made you into a Pompous ***. You need to drive more, type less and humble your comments more. You’re so full of yourself that if you were to carry on in person as you do here, you would be popped up side head more often than you could handle.

    Broker own loads?

“Broker loads do pay good if you get the right loads.” What does that mean? Are you saying, “Some lotto tickets pay good if you get the right ticket.” Really, what does that mean??? And for your next use of the word good, it is food taste good, loads pay well.

    Broker own loads?

Nope we do not broker loads. But we do carry freight for many brokers. Such as FedEx, LandStar and nearly every carrier/broker posting on EO.

    How should a contract read

The essentials. How you will be paid, where, when how much. Who is responsible for what, when and where And for me the single most important part of any contract is default recourse, and the wording therein. I want to know that if the individual I contract with will be responsible to pay...

    night driving?

For expedite (IMO) more than 65% night, though that probably varies between 60 and 80% depending long summer days or shot winter days. For us, our driving is more than 65% daytime. We try to only book daytime loads to help keep our tan. (:

    truck, or van

Driving for someone else is not my advice. For the many drivers I have spoke to that are driving for these small fleets the number of unhappy drivers far outnumber the happy drivers. Best advice stay away from trucking.

    truck, or van

Best advice. If you don’t have the coin to buy your own rig free and clear and still have many coins left over then stay away from trucking. As for driving for a fleet owner, consider that most of them are in need of warm bodies all the time to fill the high number of drivers leaving after they...

i have question .should i stay or should i go

OMG – Keep your job. Anyone with kids at home and has a paying job should stay away from trucking period. Not only should you stay away from trucking, I would stay even further away from expedite trucking. It’s shrinking and shrinking and shrinking and sinking and sinking and gone.

Sterling, Hino, M2 or C112 straight truck

Is "buy class 8" the new mantra for the EO experts?? I can't tell the fleet owners from the salesmen here.

Sterling, Hino, M2 or C112 straight truck

Bashing Hino's continues to be an easy past time for many EO forum members and sadly, bashing a Toyota product (Hino is made by Toyota) in todays auto/truck bankruptcy bailout fiasco shows how blindly consumers stick with companies who are steadily falling behind in product quality and...
