Ain't that wonderful , driver trying to keep stress levels down , by arriving early to avoid traffic congestion, then has more stress worrying over the 14 hour rule. .

I wonder how impractical it would be to cut the box into two seperate parts, at the five foot mark and install new bulkheads on each new opening ? Just for curiosities sakes.

Thanks to all who replied to my question.
jimlookup I have both Internet explorer and Firefox browsers. Have the free AVG with IE browser. AVG Says it updated today the 6th, no warning from it.

Thank you chefdennis and paullud both. I have seen a few posts about the motor carrier requiring the van owner to purchase the insurance and name the m/c as additional insured. Have no problems with my paying for the insurance, just wondered what the standard practice was.

Unfortunately you are right about mechanics and shop managers wanting to skate by on DOT inspections, paticularly if they thought that was what the truck owner wanted
Just trying to think of a practical way to check out a truck from a distance. Good pictures might would help.

Does any one have some helpful hints on best procedure for checking out a truck thoroughly, before you sign contract to drive. Really would prefer to carry truck to an outside shop to be checked over.
