Why so many Ads for Expediters ?

There are many, many reasons for this. Some people get into this industry then discover that it's not for them. Some people are what I call "hoppers & shoppers"..they never seem to be happy and are always looking for that 'rainbow'. I'm sure that if you started to pay close attention to the WANT...

    Driver Referances

You can do all the background checks on a person that you want..it won't change anything. People will do what they want & act how they want. No background check out there is going to change anything. Here's an example for you to think about: There is a fleet owner that I know who had a driver...

    Driver Referances

The expedite companies run extensive MVR & background check on ALL drivers before they're allowed to come on to the company. This includes work history & criminal. Why should an owner pay for this service when the expedite company does it for you?

    Driver Referances

Actually, several of us owners contact each other when we have a driver who does us 'big time wrong'....and I'm NOT talking about just qitting to go on with another owner. We also tend to call each other before we put a driver on our fleet to see what, if anything, we know about the person.

    Driver Referances

Normally, I don't pick apart someone's thread but yours just seems to be begging me to jump in, so here goes: I noticed that you only mentioned 2 carriers in your post. Makes me wonder why and if they are the 2 carriers that you happen to have trucks on with. Why should Panther & Fed Ex be...

    Driver Referances

This is something that has been brought up time after time on EO. For legal reasons, no carrier will give out a list of 'bad' drivers or owners. For the same legal reasons, no list will also be put on EO.

Why do you drive for that company?

I love Tri-State because they treat everyone like a human being instead of a number AND you can talk to everyone there...even the CEO... if you have a problem, concern, question, etc. They do NOT hide behind their phones like some companies do.They also truely care about their drivers &...

    got screwed

First off, you are correct in that you are NOT allowed to post names on EO. One of the things that pops instantly into my mind after reading your post is this: Did you have a contract with this owner and if so, what are the pay terms? No expedite company will get involved with owner/driver...

    Doggie Ramp/plank 80# dog

We built a ramp that folds in 4 pieces with hinges. Had it attached to the top step so that all I had to do was to unfold it. We also had outdoor carpet on each "step" so that our dog didn't slip when using it. It worked great.

Need some info on Tri State and Panther

Uuuhhhhhh I have no idea where you get your information from BUT just because Tri-State is a small, privately owned company it doesn't mean that they aren't as financially sound as one of the bigger carriers. In fact, did it ever occur to you that maybe Tri-State is BETTER financially sound than...

Thinking of signing on with a company

Dig out your phone book and start shopping around for a lawyer. That's what I did before I got my legal degree. It might take alot of time on the phone getting quotes till you find a lawyer within your price range, but it's well worth it in the end. You can never be too prepared or well...

    Driving for a Fleet Owner

We are one of those owners who DO make ourselves available to our drivers 24/7. Each driver has all our cell phone #'s, home/office #, fax #, and even our email address. All our drivers know that they can contact us at any time, day or night, with any concern, comment, or question that they may...
