I've always driven for from 35% to 40% of the load pay, driving a straight truck. Owner pays for everything concerning the truck. Fuel, maintenence, tolls, insurance, etc. I'm paid to drive the truck, make deliveries on time. I would take care of maintenence schedules, etc.........Keep track of...

If truck doesn't have a sleeper it can't be used is incorrect...........you can use it. But, if you simply need to show motel receipts as proof to where you slept, took your break, etc

MJ, your making it more complicated than it needs to be. 60/40 split, whoever is getting the 60% gets the FSC.......plain and simple, whether it be the owner or driver. But your right, if any owner wants the contracted driver to pay anything whatsoever towards maintenance,,,,,,,,,RUN AWAY...
