    BEGGARS

Anyone who lives on the road as we do is subject to people begging. I've both given and ignored depending on my mood, and abilities. Nowadays however I'm obliged to give if I can, just my way. I remember one time in November, bitter cold, snow falling on I79 north of Pittsburgh, I spotted a...

    Fog in Indiana/Ohio Chicago

My OTR employer is one of the largest in the nation. I am an extended coverage (Nights/weekends) DM, and there is NO question that my drivers' safety come before the load. If inclement weather strikes, I tell them to shut down and roll when it is safe. I make notes accordingly &then contact the...

    HUT Sticker (PermiT)

The New York HUT (Highway Use Tax) stickers take about a month to come in, If you have a need, they are faxable, and you can get a one day three day or 30 day temporary. (generally you order it and you get the 30 day, if that runs out before the sticker catches up with the truck you can get...

*chuckling here* it is never a 'pleasant' task, but you just cope with it when full. Or that was how my RV's tanks were.

That is one incredible van, thanks for the link. While i've been visting EO for a couple of years now, I hadn't been on the forums until just recently. Both your truck and terry & rene's were 'before my time' as it were. I see I'll have to go digging in the archives awhile. I'm getting the...

Ok, all you van runners, What 'features' have you built into your truck that you really like, and what would you like to upgrade? Do you have a bunk and a bulkhead, is there 'enough' storage for the essentials? What do you consider to be the 'essentials' ie, do you Need a microwave, small TV...

    Washer Fluid / Safety

I've found that a 50/50 cut with better 'blue' juice will still bring the benefits of the Rainx. Another good winter product is Prestone's yellow washer fluid, similar product without the sheeting agent.

Custom Cabinetry for An expediter truck.

I can do a lot of this with measurements ahead of time, the install would take at most a couple of hours. I work mostly in hardwoods; maple, cherry, oak and walnut are all favorites around my shop. Depending upon the application, a plywood carcass with solid wood edging would be good and solid...

Custom Cabinetry for An expediter truck.

Hey gang, I really enjoy visiting here on EO, and learning about this portion of the trucking industry. I'm at a point where I'm intrigued by this niche, but commitments at home are keeping me off the road for the time being. Despite my not getting on the road right now, I'm very...

    roller floors

What was the spacing of the rollers from the wall, and then between the rollers roughly? I was thinking of this primarily as a way to load/unload a B unit or a Sprinter, as a dock height truck can usually fit a forklift in it. I'm no expert, how about it all you folk out in the trenches. For...

I prowled around their site, and for the budget conscious truckers, here's an alternative to consider: http://www.ancra-llc.com/81384.htm They're intended for airplanes, but I bet you could mount them with a...
