Yea my deadhead is way down, which I chalk up to more short runs. Only had 4 loads over 500 miles last year,

Granted you lose going home but so does your carrier by not keeping you loaded.. If they can't load you out of that area it no longer matters what Walmart ya head for. With this one way freight we are into there is no place like home.

Did 2 short ones last week, then one that was a bit more, then got a Chicago to Nashville...after moving back to Chicago for some Saturday r and r, got a run from Germantown, WI to Columbus, IN delivered at 5 am today...decent start to the week, but wish there were more longer runs...miss those 800 to 1500 mile or more runs. I am surviving on the short runs if I get enough of them, but sure would be nice to be busier.
