Does any one have input on DISH vs DirectTV? I've been searching RV websites and most reviews seem to mention DISH as having better reception nationwide. True/false?

We'd like to have better channel selection then we can get on our over the air antenna. I'm looking for input on DISH vs DirectTV. Also need thoughts on which satellite dish works best. We are leaning toward Wingard pathway x2 but I think it only works with DISH service.
