Ice in Peoria

Today I'm sitting near Peoria, Illinois... looking at ice, and snow piled everywhere.. ick! LOL... I got spoiled by those 'warm' 40 something degree days in Ohio while I was running all those short runs last week :-)  .  Quite a shock to my system to spend a few days in below freezing temps, with snow and ice.  Last night temp was 22 with windchill 15.. not really that cold, but it sure felt like it.  A couple days there I could nap with the van off, just pointed so the sun shone in the windshield for warmth, but last 2 nights I"ve had to idle to keep warm.   I got a run yesterday afternoon from below Milwaukee, down to Decatur, IL.  Light little box going to a big plant... but funny, union rules don't ya know.. I couldn't carry the box inside the plant.  I had to drive into their inside loading dock, wait while a forklift brought a pallet to put it on!  Oh well LOL... it"s all good.  Now here I sit in freezing rain waiting on FedEx to call!

Hold the phone! They just called as I'm writing this LOL.. headed to ol Miss!
