Christmas Shopping

One of the hard things to do while on the road, is get your Christmas shopping done. While my wife does most of the shopping for presents, there are still a few I need to get.  Sometimes the timing works out that I can do it while home for a couple days... but I always get paranoid.  You just know as soon as I"ve got a cart full, and in a long checkout line... 'ringggg' LOL.  I just try to take advantage of down time to grab a few minutes in different shops.  It would be easier if I was one of those "grab a gift, any gift" kind of guys, but Christmas has always been very special in my family, and so we've always tried to make sure our gifts have special meaning, or are something the receiver wants... not just "OK....4 boy gifts, 3 girl gifts, I'm done!"

I try to stop buy different stores I see as I"m on the road on layover... or if I'm deadheading home.  Some stores I've been to before, such as Ruth's Attic at the Billy Graham Library I mentioned yesterday.  Also, my family has several big readers, so I'll try to stop by book stores, etc.  Don't overlook the small town shops either tho... sometimes in some out of the way little side street shop,  with some name like Nancy's Corner, or something, you can find that unique gift that will make the wife smile.
