Be Prepared

          Stayed home today due to the bad roads around here.  Most of the counties around me are at least at a Level 1 snow emergency. The states around us are bad too, so I just figured it was best to stay home.  Watching TV, and seeing all the wrecks around the area, including a 4 fatality horrible wreck involving a bus and a tanker truck, really got me thinking.

          Hopefully, we are never involved in a major wreck, but you can find yourself stranded for hours, even days in the case of a bad storm.  Now big trucks have big tanks, and can afford to idle much longer than we vans can.  If you're in a van, you need to be prepared.  You need a source of heat, such as a propane camp heater.  You need to have blankets, maybe some food, water, crackers, etc.   A snow shovel never hurts either.  You can never be too prepared.
