Wisconsin’s teachers required to teach kids labor union and collective bargaining history

Wisconsin’s teachers are required to teach children about the history of the labor union movement and collective bargaining in the United States, per a law former Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle signed in December 2009. Wisconsin’s Assembly Bill (AB) 172 requires the state’s teachers to incorporate “the history of organized labor in America and the collective bargaining process” into their lesson plans.

I think the actions of the legislature and the teachers in Wisconsin are deplorable. They really are setting a poor example for our young people.
Also while we're at it, the doctors who are signing slips and lying about them should loose their licenses to practice medicine. If they will stoop that low, there is no telling what they will do on a prescription slip.

Those DR's who passed out FALSE documents so teachers could LIE about their health should be arrested and charged. Those are medical documents. They should be correct. They were used to continue a fraud on the people of WI. Fine bunch of left wing liberals. Rotten as the day is long.

Actually I think they should fire all of them and have them reapply for their jobs.
The way to start that process is to start with the ones who won't go back to work. So what the governor should do is go PATCO on their @$$e$. Tell them that on Monday during school hours, you're going to be one of two places: in the classroom teaching the appropriate lesson plan for the day, or admitted to a hospital, occupying a hospital bed. Anyone not in one of the two places is in the unemployment line Tuesday. No exceptions.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough - FIRE all the teachers in the entire public school system and make all of the go through the process of being rehired.

I understand that the gov can fire them. I know he can hold back funding to the districts.

BUT you have to wonder what is important to the teachers, it surely isn't the students and I would not want any of them teaching my kids for any reason.

Nope, teaching kids is NOT their main priority. I too would not want many of them to teach my kids. I have no doubt that not ALL of them agree with what the others are doing.
