For the benefit of your wife and child I would look for a local job.

dave is right.it is real hard on a family when dad is out on the road.you cant replace what you have missed out on in your family life. i regret everything i have missed out on with my kids. kinda like that song cats in the cradle by harry chapin.i know jobs are hard to come by, even on a local basis,but keep trying and looking. i wish you the best .

I hope the 6 month old doesn't drive :eek::eek:

Seriously though, look for a local job driving for a courier or air freight forwarder, depending on the size city you live in or near. You won't get rich, but you will get home everynight.
Sounds like most expeditors aren't doing to well now anyways

You should definitely stay as close to home as possible. Your baby's childhood will fly by so fast, especially that all important first year, and before you know it they will be grown and gone. There is no turning back the clock and you will regret having missed out on important milestones in your child's life.
