Why are these expedite companies adveritsing????

I am just a little curious why are these expediting companies like FedEx CC, Panther ii, CTX, etc are looking for O/O's if business is supposedly so slow???

I got laid off from the telecom industry and I am looking to get into business as an O/O or driving for an O/O by driving a cargo van or straight truck. I have a class A CDL and I will soon have my Hazmat endorsement back.

Who or where can I get the straight information on this???

I got a letter from a recruiter from FedExCC last week, "will soon be hiring in your area." Where did my name come from?????????? I contacted them last in 1999, when it looked like we would be getting a buy out at my job.

These companies (fedex,panther,so on) want to put a driver on every one of thier customers door steps so they can use the new sales gimmic and guarantee the customerpick-up in 5min. or less.:7 :7 :7 The companyies that you are asking about all have thier haeds up thier __________ (fill in the blank) I can't wait for the time to come when they start down sizing managment in these companies.}> }> }>
