Who's Doing Better, Teams or Solo's?

I'm currently driving solo in a D-Unit for an O/O, last year he wanted me to team, but since I was making such good money and was staying out 6-8 weeks he said I could drive solo all I want. Now that we're in the year '03 things aren't looking so good for me or for him money wise. I've been talking to some other drivers, and their telling me that driving teams in E-Units is were the money's at. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Several times recently I've been laid over in various locations and seen E units be last in and first out. They don't seem to sit idle for too long.

There can be big money to be had in running E units as a team, not only expediting but anywhere in trucking. But.. can you tolerate it? Husband/Wife teams seem to stick together best, but many other combinations don't. A truck is no place to live a life in my opinion, and it is hard enough for one to get along with themself in a sane manner in the confines of a truck, none the less with a team mate you have problems tolerating. So the answer to the question depends on the individual situation for the long run. I would quit trucking myself before I would run team, but that is me, I enjoy solitude. If you need constant company, run team.
