Anyone who has a laptop or PC connected to internet, you may want to read the following. Just feel like sharing this with my new trucker/expediter friends. (Yeah I'm a newbie) I used to be a computer geek for 13 years.
Go to http://spybot.eon.net.au/ and you can download for free, spybot (350k) which really searches your registry and finds dozens if not hundreds of spyware type settings. These come from numerous sites including Yahoo - game sites - and just so many others. It cleans your PC and also can block future invaders.
This product is FREE (although donations are accepted to cover cost - and in my opinion well deserved)
I wrecked my PC last week trying to find all of the registry settings to stop those annoying pop-ups and overall internet slowness. These settings send constant data over the internet back to these A*#Holes.
So STOP...BLOCK... and ROCK-N-ROLL !!!! :7

Well if your on the internet and you dont have a zonealarm and firewall then its the owner of the computers fault you might as well just tell everyone info...

I do have a firewall and security. The problem is when you download some software or yahoo games - there are several spyware thats embedded with these downloads that are hidden. They get planted into your system and send your internet browsing patterns back out, then activate random popups.
Gator - Save.exe - addoubleclick are a few of the nastier ones.

Thx for the info Bigboy. I checked out the site and downloaded the program. but while reading about it, it said that some of the spys have imbedded a program that by passes zone alarm by clicking on the ok button so all you see is a ZA flash. rollnthunder might want to read it b4 he passes this up.

Well all i know is what i have on my pc stops all ad popups.If its as good as they say trying going onto Imesh or Kazzaa and see if it stops the popup ads.That place is the true test u usually get about 8 to 10 popups in about 1 minute.But If you have ran a zonealarm and firewall from day one then it wont let them access the internet because its trying to access one of your ports and it gets stopped till you permit or block.Thats the whole point about Zonealarm and firewalls is to monitor all the ports on your pc anything trying to go in and out of those ports has to be give permission to use if not then they cant go out.Its that simple.How many people have the little pop ups showing up on this site about panther II and CTX and all them i Dont.I can turn mine off and then they show up turn it all back on and refresh and i dont see them anymore.Matter or opionions.

For those of you who have AOL, you can go to settings, then preferences, then pop-ups. Turn those controls on and you will be pop-up free. It works on all sites. Yahoo, Kazaa, etc. etc.
