THE CHAT ROOM
The poll only received 6 votes and all 6 were for the same time. 2000hr.(8:00pm)on Sunday nights. So I guess that will be the time WE the members of EO, that want too, will be there.
To hold a regular weekly function on the forum and for it to be a success we need someone to host and facilitate the function. This is a simple task. The host would set up weekly or bi-weekly topics, and possibly have a guest or 2 participate, usually lasting about an hour.
I can't always do it because there are times that I have to leave out on Sunday night. I will volunteer as an assistant Host, or Co-Host, if there is someone else out there that will help out and volunteer as the Host, or a Co-Host.
I will volunteer this week to facilitate the MEET and the SUBJECT will be:
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND SHORT-CUTS IN THE CHAT ROOM.
I will do some research on chat rooms and pass it on to you. General knowledge of the chat room:
1.) How to wispier to another in the room.
2.) how to ignore someone in the room.
3.) acronyms, and emoticons.
If you participate in chat (realtime conferencing) sessions, you will find many of the abbreviations, acronyms, and emoticons you see in the online discussion groups are used and more. On Sunday night I will post some of the popular chat shortcuts.
