Sorry, that one doesn't fit the topic criteria. That link is just straight-up agenda driven news, with twisted facts and fantasy presented solely to rail on churches and conservatives. They're so wrapped up in their cause that they actually got the "mind blowing fact" wrong. They think the collection plate is where church charities her their money. LOL

You Won't Believe...!
This is Mind Blowing...!
You Gotta See This,..!
X-number (usually 10 or less) things that.... (you need to avoid, you need to know, you need to do, you won't believe, etc.)

It's all click-bait crap, or some agenda, or often both.

The facts don't say otherwise, though.

That link is just straight-up agenda driven news, with twisted facts and fantasy presented solely to rail on churches and conservatives. Soooo, the "facts" you claim say otherwise aren't even pertinent to where the money comes from to aid the poor.

Read the original post in this thread and then engage critical thinking.

You've read agenda driven news, that you agree with because it soothes your agenda driven soul, belived it to be factual, and then propagated it, in a thread that's not about posting left wing agenda, but rather for documenting and discussing the various insanities and derp those on the extreme political/religious right are presently involved in and are promulgating.
.
The article you posted doesn't do that. Saying that churches can help the poor is hardly insanity, or derp, nor extremely right wing. However, creating the straw man of individual church finances to refute that churches can take care of the poor is beyond the pale of derp and insanity because that's not where the money comes from for the charities

The mutant spawn of Walid Shoebat - Islamophobia Inc. grifter and fake ex-PLO terrorist - has some interesting ideas - as a good Christian mind you - on how to deal with The Gayz (and atheists, feminists, and Mooslims):

Theodore Shoebat: Force Gays To Submit To Christianity Through 'Death And Strong Suppression'

Does not offer any insights into how exactly the Constitution will figure into his "Master Plan" however ...

I think his Pope was offering a slightly different message here recently ...

That link is "agenda driven news", granted, but the agenda is to aid churches in allocating funds, prepared by the churches themselves [through the Evangelical Credit Union], so the comment about "twisted facts and fantasy presented solely to rail on churches and conservatives" seems somewhat, shall we say, bizarre? Whey would the Evangelical Church Credit Union want to rail on churches and conservatives?
I included it because it refutes the premise that churches can aid the poor [in great numbers], using their own financial information. A premise, incidentally, that is a part of many conservative right wingers' insistence that the government reduce money spent on aiding the poor [in the US].

He cites "death threats against Kim Davis" as "proof" that homosexual = homicidal, uh huh. But all the actual deaths that have been inflicted over antigay [and abortion] ideology have been committed by the 'Christians', not against them.

Perkins quote: "When was the last time you saw a Baptist trying to blow something up?"
Cheryl Sullenger, convicted & imprisoned for attempting to blow up an abortion clinic in 1988. Lest you think that was a long time ago, and so what? you should know that the same Cheryl Sullenger who is currently very active in the anti abortion industry, and a close associate of David Daladien, who filmed the Planned Parenthood 'sting' videos.
I don't know if she is a Baptist, but she is certainly a Christian - before they changed tactics, her efforts included warning of the "wrath of God" that abortion clinics would reap. Also filming clinic personnel and patients, looking up their home addresses, picketing homes, sending letters to their employers and neighbors, like this one:

While you go about your daily life, thousands of human beings are being murdered down the street from your house. Abortionist Savita Ginde and her employer Planned Parenthood must be called to repentance, but so must you. If you are neglecting to love your preborn neighbor and work to end the abortion holocaust, you are a bad neighbor. You live in a nation that practices child sacrifice. While God hates the hands that shed innocent blood, he will not hold guiltless those who knew about this evil and did nothing against it. We must all beg Savita that she would cease her murderous ways and turn to Christ. Search the Scriptures. Examine your heart. Assess your actions. Rethink your priorities. Repent and follow Christ. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Nice example of Christian behavior, huh?
