Way too go MAMMA! Nothing more dangerous than a mamma bear defending her cubs! The ONLY mistake she made was telling the scumbags that broke into her home she had a gun. One should NEVER give away one's position. That give the scumbags a chance to shot you! Surprise is the key. Don't EVER give a home invader a chance! They are there to do harm to your family, to you, to your home and your property! Stop them.

NOTE: That was a semi-automatic rifle she used to defend her, family, home and property, something Obama and Co. would deny her, and us, if he could. I am not sure of the make or caliber of the rifle and the magazine was removed for the camera shot so there is no way to determine the capacity of it.

NOTE: This was NOT the first crime the scumbag thugs had committed.

NOTE: The police did NOT stop this crime from occurring, they did however make a fast arrest. ONLY the actions of this women stopped things from getting worse. Her actions also contributed to the fast arrest.

Love to see good news stories like this. In this day and age you have to assume that anyone breaking and entering is armed, and it proved to be true in this case. The only possible issue for anyone that might be thinking of arming themselves for home protection is that a semi-auto shotgun is probably a better choice - one of the new tactical models with a pistol grip and a high capacity magazine. Those rifle rounds like she had are powerful enough to penetrate walls and endanger the neighbors or family members in other rooms of your house. Also, you're right about the verbal warning - let the gun do the talking, it's more convincing.

I agree with the rounds she was likely using not being the best choice. A 20GA semi-auto, high capacity shot gun with purpose made home defense rounds is a better choice. IF one is going to use a rifle for home defense one should use fragmenting rounds that will not penetrate walls.
