Don't get why trusting a computer with peoples lives on our national highways
Anyone who has been around computerized machines knows that every once in a while they do some weird things

Yep most are due to driver error, drugs etc
But that's more due to the lack of proper training
But one bad contact can cause problems with a computerized machine

Frankly I am doubtful that any machine could cope with the irrational behavior of some human drivers , but then neither can the other drivers on the highway

When will you people learn to read the whole article...
"The Uber vehicle was not responsible for the incident and there were no injuries, Tempe police information officer Josie Montenegro told Bloomberg News. Another car failed to yield for the Uber car, causing the autonomous vehicle to flip on its side, according to the police report."

Darn human in another vehicle was responsible for the crash.

This is why we can't trust fake news networks in US. Propaganda machine.
They push stuff about Uber because it's new to the market and there is a scandal involving former Uber female employee. Big news...

Move on. Hundreds of people die every day in US, but people are already fed enough zombie movies to be numb to those tragedies (plus they don't sell). But robots involved in crash (even if they were not at fault), is all of a sudden headlines.

OK, my rant is over now. Controversy started.

Well uber thought it was enough to suspend it's testing while they investigate.

Part of a culture. Media talks about Russian encounter, fire an official. Talk about health care bill, suspend it's vote... etc. I understand that Uber is shareholders pet, and they side with caution. Just that they cannot be seeing fake news like "Uber car killed another man's vehicle", it's bad for their business.
